behind the scenes at revolve clothing

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2785/4124666661_65c6351ab9_b.jpg

THIS WEEK: I did a shoot for Revolve Clothing along with three other lovely ladies from Lookbook.nu including Tiffany, Natalie, and Stefanie. We got to incorporate our own personal style and pick through Revolve's endless racks of gorgeous clothing for their Winter Style guide. I felt like a little kid at a candy store surrounded by all the A.Wang's, William Rast and Wildfox threads, and a very indulgent little kid might I add. While scoping out the shoe shelves I fell in love with these beauts right here. The shoot was nonetheless a great time, but one thing I learned is that I definitely need to work on my camera presence during interviews haha. I'll post some photos once they're up! x

digital suicide

PS. Rest in Peace Daul Kim

to whom it may concern:

Thank you to the person who assumes that along with youth bears a mental handicap. However, to address your statement, (since you left no direct contact for me to properly respond)- I'm not an idiot. Please note that I'm not pulling magic tricks out of my ass or "Thesaurus.com"- I guess I learned something from my college-accredited English classes, former internship, coaches from the Melveny & Myers, creative writing workshops, and Reccomended Reading lists I've devoted a quarter of my life too for my "pretentious" choice of words. I'm sorry I don't speak or write in a monosyllabic manner but I guess that's the burden wrought when internalizing a year of Pathos/ethos/logos and studing 95 pages of SAT Vocabulary lists. Also, excuse me for not fully embodying a "stupid and submissive" teenager, but in regards to your incredibly intelligent observation, you may want to provide some backbone before you share your "insightful" commentary. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evenings reading my blog. I'm sure they won't cease to be anything but eventful. Love, Olivia.

EDIT: I didn't post this to come off as pedantic, but there's a fine line between constructive criticism and libel towards a particular subject-assuming I'm stupid is one of them. If you don't like my "pretentious" rantings- don't read them.
I'll take my blog into whatever direction I feel like taking them. If you have issues with what or how I write, the least you can do is take a stand for your word and message me directly. And without further ado, I am even willing to accept edits for my brain farts and clumsy ramblings. I will take Blogger Writing Workshop Anonymous to earn back my merits. Then I can learn some higher knowledge and grammar Nazi my way across the world wide web.

Currently Reading: The Great Gatsby. It's November and naturally I've morphed back into a homebody, preferring solace in literature (& Falling in love all over again). I've been bracing myself for 2010. In the words of Rachel Zoe: This shit is bananas! In a matter of time I will be an emancipated citizen of the world, because there are only so many bed time jokes a person can hear until cued in laughters no longer hides expressions of apathy. On the looks above I'm currently channeling those bottled up emotions. Lately I like my insides to match my outside And with that said, I don't know what to account what mood shredded bits applies too...savagery I suppose? See you anon.

masters, spread yourselves -a midsummer's night dream 1595

On a dry hot day in August I shot a mini-series with Damon Loble in what appears to be the California equivalent to a forest. I was partially inclined to jump into the mass body of water facing me but the consequences veered more to suicide than my intentions to quench my thirst, and that my friends, would not have gone swimmingly. In unrelated news I'm honored to be featured in this month's Elle China! Scout's honor that it truely is one of my favorite publications that I read religiously rather than periodically, there are a few others I fully immerse in with undivided attention. In the feature I'm wearing the Holden Blazer from Spanish Moss available here. The snippets are below are the digital issue but I'll do my best to remember the q n a once I get my hands on a tangible copy. Off to edit my debate, x. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2528/4110858376_1c9140b9f2.jpg

HOW is it that online-shopping so addictively therapeutic? I'm starting to feel a bit like Rebecca Bloomwood in 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'. (Aspiring) journalist, no means of currency, an unequivocal quench for retail. Mind you, this not only applies to lace and leather but dwindles down to necessitating my need for new leather-bound scrap books, various shades of pink nail polish, collecting workbooks in every medium of whatever I'm studying, along with gel pens. The only thing that stops my roll are the acquisition of all the amazing little gifts I'm handed to. My soul twin Val gave me a pair of 80%20 bootwedge (still haven't decided on which it applies more to). Complete with embellished cutout ringlets that give my feet room to breathe while discreetly adding a 3 inch added height from the inside sole. Fancy that!
