bold shoulder

HOW is it that online-shopping so addictively therapeutic? I'm starting to feel a bit like Rebecca Bloomwood in 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'. (Aspiring) journalist, no means of currency, an unequivocal quench for retail. Mind you, this not only applies to lace and leather but dwindles down to necessitating my need for new leather-bound scrap books, various shades of pink nail polish, collecting workbooks in every medium of whatever I'm studying, along with gel pens. The only thing that stops my roll are the acquisition of all the amazing little gifts I'm handed to. My soul twin Val gave me a pair of 80%20 bootwedge (still haven't decided on which it applies more to). Complete with embellished cutout ringlets that give my feet room to breathe while discreetly adding a 3 inch added height from the inside sole. Fancy that!

EYE CANDY. More apt to neutral and gray scale tones as of late, and a dash of burgundy lipstick and flipped hair is a perfect finish for a sleek, simple look.

everyone grows old on the gold coast

MY HALLOWEEN HEAD DRESS weighs a ton. Although I am crazy for it's 12 inches of added height, ultimately it became bothersome and difficult to play in. This halloween was absolute madness (more so on Friday night) then the post-all nighter condition I was in by Saturday afternoon. I spent the weekend at Val and Justin's loft on Sunset and Hollywood, the street brimmed with eccentric slutty types of every garter size and type. I documented everything with 35 mm for the sake of resting my abused Nikon, so photos shall be up at a later post!

monster mash up

In my attempt to avoid skin tight polyester neglige, along with my lack of creativity, this Halloween my costumes are consisted of things already stapled into my wardrobe. This includes: Lace, feathers, tossed hair, black pleather, high heels and red lipstick. I finally purchased my own 1 ft tall Indian Head Dress and velvet cape, and now the only thing which remains on my list are Louis-Vuitton inspired bunny ears. Otherwise I'm set for the weekend dedicated to excessive make up, painful heels and acquisition of lots, and lots, and lots of candy.
sleepless, long nights that is what my youth is for
Box 8 Fashion Week Flaunt Party

THIS WEEK: I celebrated my 17nth birthday! After an extended amount of years indiscreetly being "sixteen" I've taken one closer one step into adulthood. Although I truly believe that age is just a numerical measure which disregards life-experience and mental maturity. Besides, having been raised with a European mind-set I'm disinclined to the American principle (with all due respect) that you can enlist to die for your country before you're allowed to sip a beer..only in the States. This week's photos on the grind

art is not what you see, but what you make others see
I first bestowed upon Degas paintings during my study of AP European History (which woe and behold I proudly passed with an A) and recently rekindled my interest during my visit at the Norton Simon Museum. I now feverishly regret sacrificing 4 hour dance classes in trade of memorizing the laws of rhetoric and polyatomic ions-which is a constant stab at the heart whenever I see the baby shade palettes of leotards abandoned in my closet. They sit idely on a pile waiting for me to utilize them. Other than that, here are some Saturday afternoon inspiration:
